Incredibly high speed, incredibly low cost

The RISO digital duplicator prints at speeds (typically 130 pages per minute) that cannot be matched by office technology. The RISO digital copier (formerly known as the Risograph) is specifically designed to bridge the gap between copier and offset systems. It is too big for copiers or laser printers but too small even for professional offset printers in the region.

The higher the volume of work, the lower the operating costs

RISO first creates a master copy of the original document from which the prints are made. The cost per document is reduced with each print, making RISO extremely economical for high-volume printing.

Printing volume and printing cost

The RISO digital duplicator allows different organisations to carry out a wide range of outsourced print jobs in-house. For maximum control and cost reduction, resulting in economical, on-demand printing. The duplicator can be used to complete a wide range of jobs, from business communications to more specialised jobs such as forms, business cards, labels.

Some call these products digital duplicators - some call them digital printers.
One thing is for sure, this product will save you a lot of time and money!

Risograph is a brand of digital copiers manufactured by Riso Kagaku Corporation, designed primarily for high-volume photocopying and printing. The Riso duplicator  It was first released in Japan in August 1986. Sometimes called a digital copier or printer duplicator, newer models can now be used as network printers as well as stand-alone copiers. One page printing or copying the same content is usually much cheaper than using a traditional photocopier, laser printer or inkjet printer.Riso reproduction

The underlying technology is very similar to a mimeograph. It brings together many processes that were previously done manually, for example using the Riso Print Gocco system or the Gestetner system.

The original is scanned through the machine, which creates a master file on the thermal storage disk containing empty spaces (the graphic areas). This master foil is then a dob, and the ink only reaches the paper through the cavities in the film. A papir is in the flat position in the machine while the drum rotates at high speed to create all the graphics on the paper.

This simple technology is extremely reliable compared to traditional copiers, and results in very high speeds (typically 130 pages per minute) and very low costs. The corresponding life cycle is to produce 100,000 master copies and print 5,000,000 copies .

Works like a offset printer -doesn't require heat like copiers and laser printers - plus printed materials can be handled in the same way as any other printed material. This means that the sheets that have been printed with Riso can later be used in a laser printer.i.

For short-run print jobs for schools, clubs, colleges, political campaigns and other organisations, Risograph bridges the gap between using a standard photocopier (cheaper, up to 50 copies) and commercial printers (cheaper 10 000 also for copies)

The Riso's have interchangeable colour inks and drums, which allow printing in different colours or one colour. The latest Riso MZ series models have two ink jets, so you can print up to two colours at the same time.
